First off, I want to wish you all a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. To those who gave it all, may we never forget your ultimate sacrifice for our freedom!

How are you spending your three day weekend? Me? Well, you're looking at it, LOL. I plan to let hubby spark up the grill, sleep in, and just relax.

So this happened yesterday... 🤯

I’m absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of shares, likes, comments and posts about Until Kingston’s release yesterday! The unwavering support from readers, bookstagrammers, reviewers, family, friends, and fellow authors has truly humbled me… but seeing this banner absolutely floored me! That new readers took a chance on a new author, that friends and family took the time out of their busy days to purchase/download my work, that my current readers and fans stopped and wished me a happy release, left a beautiful review… just having YOU celebrate with me has filled my heart with such happiness.

Some people know what that little orange banner means, others—like my sweet Momma who called me and asked me to explain, love you Momma—may not. To some people, it means nothing, to others it means everything.

Most of us indies strive hard to get to that point, where our books rank highest in their categories. It’s a milestone for us, an accomplishment, a pinnacle. Perhaps it’s simply another label in a life where we’re surrounded by them…

To me it means that I’m touching hearts all over the world, that readers are enjoying what I do as much as I enjoy doing it, that YOU have faith in me and my writing abilities, and that all my hard work—late nights, lost sleep, missed meals, missed family functions, eye strain, and slacking on laundry and housework—has paid off.

So, thank you, all of you who have supported me throughout my writing journey. I truly appreciate everything. I couldn't have done it without you!

Writing, reading and watching...

I am vigilantly working on getting my football romance series ready for a late summer/early fall release, along with a few other works, but I'm always fitting in things that aren't book related too.

I've lost 25 lbs since last August eating clean and working out, written three books since February and recently watched five seasons of the show, Outlander.

If you haven’t gotten into this historical time travel romance with one of the swooniest book heroes yet, then check it out. I think even my husband now has a crush on James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser. I’m also reading the books too... yes, I know. I'm kind of obsessed.

Spring is here...and so is some exciting news from Abundance

COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on us all

Hello readers,

First off,
I hope you are all well and safe and taking all the precautions you can amidst this pandemic. Times are crazy and scary too, despite all the funny memes that are circulating right now. Laughter is good medicine though and the morbid side of me must laugh where I can, when I can, to keep from going nuts.

What are you doing for your mental health during this time?

Me?

I've been working out, writing, reading and taking calming baths-- ya see, my husband and I are still working among all this chaos, so life has gone on.

I find routine helps with my melancholy, although I do miss seeing my family and I sincerely hate that I couldn't be with my sister yesterday on her birthday :-(

But I do have some happy news to share with you:

My proudest personal achievement aside from publishing my books is losing over twenty-pounds and getting back to being healthy this year.

2020 is HERE, can you believe it?!

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season and I hope that Santa was good to you!

What resolutions have YOU made for 2020?

I am in the process of getting book five, the final book in the Abundance series- Abundance LEGACY, ready for publishing, February/March, working on a story for an paranormal romance anthology coming out this summer (among many other works in progress) and I’ve actually started writing a fantasy novel.

With that being said, I’m also in the process of working on ME. I hope to get stronger, leaner, and healthier in 2020, I’ve lost 15 pounds so far--I am super proud of myself.
I'm eager to do more hiking and traveling this year, and catch up on some movies and TV shows I've been wanting to see!

Currently Watching

Where are my Star Wars fans at?

Hubby and I have been watching The Mandalorian and if you haven't started yet, you're gonna love it! I can't decide which one is more adorable, the Mandalorian or baby "Yoda". Hmm...

We also just saw the final Star Wars movie: Rise of Skywalker. Fellow fans, get your tissues ready. It was AWESOME!

We also recently finished The Witcher on Netflix (for you fellow fantasy fans) and I'll reiterate, it's AWESOME too. I may need to rewatch that one...Two words, Henry Cavill.

Meanwhile...

So, I'll have ARCs of Book 5 coming out soon for my ARC readers and the cover reveal too, of course. I'm thinking end of this month?!

I can't wait to see it and share it and give you the grand finale of my debut romance series. It's truly bittersweet.

So, what are you doing this year for Thanksgiving?
I'm actually gonna be spending this Thanksgiving at the beach, and I'm super excited about it. I'll be having turkey at the Tiki; I see football and crab legs in my future B-).
I also plan to catch up on my reading too. I'm currently reading Mistletoe and Mayhem, book 4 in Veronica Cline Barton's My American Almost Royal Cousin series, and I plan to finish Deadline by Judy McDonough and start KJ Backer's second book, Nav'Aria: The Pyre of Tarsin.

I hope you all have a safe and happy day with your families.

I'm still awaiting the go-ahead to release my teasers for the Christmas anthology; I'm hoping we'll have the cover soon... I'll keep you posted ;-)
I'm in the process of editing book 5 (still) for a hopeful February 2020 release.
I have two stories for anthologies that'll be coming up next year that I'll be starting on soon as well as some miscellaneous novels that have come to me recently ;-)
